I know how you feel. We went to a wedding in Atlanta once that was also 10 min. long. We had to fly (b/c we didn't have time to drive), rent a car and get a hotel room--for 10 minutes!! I guess that's what families are for! :) Tell Anna I LOVE her glasses!

Do people really WANT a 40-minute wedding service? I've done a lot of weddings, and even WITH attendants, WITH special music, and WITH the candle lighting thing (none of which were done at THIS wedding), it still only takes 20 minutes or so - what is it? If you want a LONNNNNGGGG wedding ceremony, may I suggest the Catholic church? I do the wedding that the couple wants.... and it seems they all want A SHORT AND SWEET SERVICE! Interesting........... folks feel "Cheated?" with the short service? Huh.....

I think 10 minutes worked well for this ceremony...not all the hoopla of a ceremony with all the extras! I know that's how the bride and groom wanted it...I know I didn't want to wrestle Joseph for any longer than that...and straight to the reception...that's what we all want anyway!! ha! :)

I wouldn't get so defensive...the point was we drove a total of 18 hours..over 1200 miles...that works out to be over 120 miles per wedding minute, and 108 driving minutes per 1 wedding minute...I don't think each wedding service should be long, you kinda missed the point. The service was the best in recorded history and should be the frame work for each and every wedding to come. No one feels cheated, disappointing or regretful because of the length of the service. huh maybe all the chatter was meant to be funny.

Yeah - I agree that 1200 miles for a 10-minute service was kind of a drag and a rip-off - wish you guys could have stayed longer..... Stayed for worship..... but I understand you had things to do... c'est la vie! I wasn't defensive - I thought it was just right - for THEM - I do the wedding the couple wants - it's not about me.... I don't think it was the "best in recorded history" - it was the best for THEM - I have done better (and LONGER ones!) ha ha ha - The happy couple was pleased so that's all that matters... Like I said - wish you all could have stayed LONGER!!

You probably wish you could have spent more time at the Falls! ha ha ha - about 20 minutes? That's about it -

Look at the picture of Joseph pumping gas..."Hey Kids, do you see the water?" Since we traveled along Lake Erie a majority of the way...that was the line I used constantly! I was pretty impressed by the massive amount of water that we followed thru 3 states...the kids not-so-much! ;)

That's funny! But that would be a lot of water. Fast trip but Congratulations to Granny and family! :)
